Residential Electrostatic Disinfection

Why You Need Residential Electrostatic Disinfection

Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in private residences has never been more important.  The traditional way of using a rag and a spray bottle to disinfect your home can be time consuming and leave you open to germs lurking in hard to reach areas.  Electrostatic disinfection gives you complete coverage in the most efficient way possible.

Benefits for Homeowners

COVID-19 disinfection is different from traditional housekeeping. You need a deeper and more thorough method like electrostatic disinfection to remove potential traces of COVID-19 in your home. Electrostatic disinfection is quick and effective; the entire process can be done in an hour. That’s much better than spending hours manually spraying disinfectant and wiping surfaces.

Electrostatic disinfection can also reach every nook and cranny of your home. Homeowners won’t have to worry about hard-to-disinfect areas such as carpets, walls, ceilings, light fixtures, computer keyboards, and so on. In addition, the disinfectant we use is safe for people, pets and plants.

Benefits for Realtors

COVID-19 has made it harder to conduct open houses and property showings. Many  buyers are hesitant to go out due to the risks, so realtors need a way to ensure that their residential properties are as safe as possible. The recommended practice is to disinfect before and after each showing. However, personally wiping down surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and cabinet handles with disinfectant can take a very long time.

Realtors who need a faster alternative should consider electrostatic disinfection. It will evenly and uniformly cover an entire room with EPA-certified disinfectant, thereby eliminating potential hotspots.

Benefits for Home Builders

Like many other industries, the housing construction market came to a screeching halt due to COVID-19. As homebuilding is getting ready to start again, construction companies must learn to adjust to the new normal. As per CDC guidelines, workers are advised to practice social distancing, frequent handwashing, and wearing full PPE. Regular disinfection procedures are also a must.

Electrostatic technology allows you to quickly disinfect different areas of the job site such as elevators, workspaces, portable toilets, and break rooms, as well as shared tools, heavy machinery, and frequently-touched surfaces. It won’t be a hassle to disinfect after every shift, or whenever your construction workers change workstations.

Our Residential Electrostatic Disinfection Process

Charlotte Metro Cleaning employs a three-step electrostatic disinfection process for residential properties. With our efficient and thorough disinfection team, here’s what you can expect.

1

High touch points are cleaned and wiped down to remove any germs or impurities. These are the most at-risk areas, and includes doorknobs, light switches, handles, faucets, sinks, etc. With a proper wide down, the disinfectant will adhere to the surface better.

2

Residence is treated with an EPA approved hospital grade disinfectant using an electrostatic sprayer. The chemical we use is Vital Oxide, which is safe and effective, and not harmful to people, pets, or plants. The electrostatic sprayer will allow the disinfectant to get to hard-to-reach places so that each home gets complete coverage and is properly sanitized.

3

The final step is to apply a product called Disinfect & Shield to all the high touch points. This is an antimicrobial shield that will protect surfaces up to 28 days. It not only kills bacteria and viruses, but it keeps surfaces continuously and consistently protected, thus adding a layer of protection for surfaces inside the home.
